So it’s that time of the month again where my Look Fantastic beauty box pops through the door. I pretty much become a little girl at this moment as I’m always filled with so much excitement for the surprises in the box.
The theme of this month’s beauty box has been to focus on more organic, natural and botanical beauty and skincare products.
So what’s in the box?
EMMA HARDIE MIDAS TOUCH REVITALISING CREAM worth £13.50
I really liked the fact that even though this is an intensive moisturiser, it had a very lightweight feel when I applied it to my skin. Plus it has the ever beneficial Hyaluronic acid and botanical and marine elements to brighten the skin. When I applied it to my skin in the morning it did give a nice radiance look to my face, however, if you have oily skin it is recommended to use it only as a hydrating night cream instead of a daily moisturiser.
BALANCE ME VITAMIN C REPAIR SERUM worth £11.00
I’ve had skin pigmentation problems recently around some parts of my face and this serum claims to reduce this pigmentation with the help of Vitamin C and Melavoid ingredients that are in the serum. It is to be applied after cleansing in the morning and evening. I am currently using this serum after cleansing in the morning and I’ve found that my moisturiser just literally glides on if I’ve used the serum beforehand!
GROW GORGEOUS BACK INTO THE ROOTS worth £6.00
This is a 10 min scalp mask to help revive flat and tired hair and reveal bouncy and voluminous hair. It is a paraben and sulphate free formula and is infused with Burdock Root, Hyaluronic acid, vitamins and caffeine to create a cooler sensation whilst creating a fuller and thicker appearance of hair.
I haven’t actually started using it yet but I do love a good hair mask, plus I find I still manage to apply face masks here n there but slack a bit on hair masks so this should hopefully give me a good kick up the derriere 😉
BELLAPIERRE MINERAL LIPSTICK IN ‘ENVY’ worth £16.00
The description mentions that this lipstick has a pink shade, however, I found it to be more of a red/maroon colour. All I do know is that you can’t have enough red lipsticks – so many different shades of red are needed aren’t they?
Plus the best thing is this lipstick has been formulated with natural waxes and mineral pigments which ensures my lipstick stays on without drying them!
NAOBAY RECOVERY MASK SENSITIVE SKIN worth £4.95
I absolutely love face masks. Actually, I love all masks; hand mask, foot mask, face masks etc. This particular mask is created for sensitive skin and contains softening and refreshing Orange floral water, Vitamin E, Poppy and Tigernut oils. It also contains Bentonite clay, which can dry your skin further if you already have dry skin.
I generally don’t have dry skin and applied this mask to check it out. As I applied it to my face I felt that the mask started to soothe and relax my skin. I left it on for 7 minutes and washed it off as the mask started to dry on my face. I did feel that it may dry out my skin so I applied a rich moisturiser to ensure no drying after effects.
AHAVA NATURAL DEAD SEA BATH SALTS worth £7.00
Who doesn’t love a good soak in the bath? I generally love all sorts of bath soaks as it’s a nice way to relax – I generally take a book/magazine in with me and leave after accidentally dropping it in the water 😀
This bath soak contains magnesium which you probably already know is very beneficial for your muscles to relax (I had recently brought a pack of magnesium bath salts too). Can’t wait to start using this!!
Have you tried any beauty subscription box, if so which one?
Happy reading x
